Masculine looking Pepper with large well proportioned head. Strong punishing jaw, good teeth.  Well muscled neck, deep chest, well sprung ribcage, correct length.  Overall outline was good with a well defined topline, angulated stifles, short hocks.  Jacket a little short on the day.  Positive rear propulsion, moved freely.  BD. BIS.

2nd: Smethurst's Dawsholm Dapper Davoc

Smaller frame than 1st.  Good skull and stop, with expressive dark eyes.  Nice teeth.  Straight front with well padded neat feet.  Rich pepper jacket of correct texture.  Moved ok.  Preferred the head, body length and rear movement of 1.

Open Dog

1st: Cadwallader's Bettymac Sun Samba

Mustard.  A masculine dog with a strong head, a little lacking in stop.  Well developed maxillary muscles and good teeth, well laid shoulder but sits back on his front pasterns a little.  Excellent spring of rib, deep chest with good length to body ratio.  Crisp pencilled coat of correct length.  Moved with confidence.  ResBD.  Res BIS

imga0146

2nd: Corless 's Dengold Enterprise

A proud looking pepper dog in his rich dark jacket.  Pleasing expression, dark eye.  Shoulders a little upright giving a wider front, which made his front movement less positive.  Held his topline well though.

3rd: Skitt's Ibolya-Kozi Popey at Deegandan imga0165

Veteran Dog

1st: MacInnes's Glencobo Wrekin Lad at Bettymac

Pepper who is 10 years old.  Smaller framed than some of the other dogs.  Nice head proportions, broad nose with large dark eyes well spaced apart, giving a typical Dandie expression.  He moved with enthusiasm and seemed to be enjoying himself.  BestVet.

Special Beginners Dog

1st: Barr's Deegandan Cambo

A young mustard dog with a nice temperament, he almost smiled at me.  15 months old and still quite immature.  Soft expression well placed dark eyes.  Tight well padded feet and good front.  Movement a bit stilted, better coming than going.

imga0101

Junior Bitch

1st: Cottee's Deegandan Alwin

Mustard, 15 months old.  Liked this little girl, lots of potential.  Domed skull, dark eyes, ear set good, feminine face with a soft expression.  Well laid shoulder.  Correct textured coat.  Looked shapely on the move and covered the ground well.

imga0179

Novice Bitch 1st: Cottee's Deegandan Alwin imga0179

2nd: Roberts's Oakseal Zodiac

An 8 year old pepper.  She had a wise, kindly expression, broad muzzle, strong jaw.  Lacked a little in top skull.  Shown in a very long coat which detracted from her actual shape.  Moved around the ring with a calm dignity befitting her middle years.

imga0186

Postgraduate Bitch

1st: Motler's Wazzly Athena

Mustard in correct textured jacket.  Nicely domed skull with defined stop, fine leathers.  Well laid shoulders and rounded sprung ribcage, good length and kept topline on the move.  Weasely shape, typical Dandie outline.

imga0193

2nd: Hunter's Puddockswell Hootin Annie at Etsill

Another feminine bitch, in good shape after her recent litter.  A lot to like but I preferred the topline and movement on the day of 1.

imga0202
3rd: Smith's Truffle Cartridge imga0207

Limit Bitch

1st: Denham's Dentgate Serendipity

Pepper with good head, eyes could be a shade darker, strong jaws, lovely teeth, muscular neck.  Well laid shoulders giving a good front assembly.  Long foreface in relation to skull.  Beautiful pencilled jacket.  Well defined topline, moved positively with drive.

imga0227

2nd: Kinsey-Morgan's Inzievar Gold Edition

A finer boned mustard, appealing expression with a soft dark eye.  Lacking in top skull and forechest.  Good topline.  Preferred the front assembly and head of 1.
